Carnival – Smart Cruise ship

Apps for mobile, tablet, TV and large touch screens that connect guests to the ship via bluetooth technology.
My Role: Design Lead/ Visionary (presenting to client, ideating & solving, collaboration instigator, project vision and road mapping, mentoring, design direction, documenting, prototyping and designing, keeping the wheels moving)
What: Creating a variety of apps. Including lean back experiences like games to more interactive experiences like way finding. These apps help guests connect seamlessly with one another and the cruise ship. The connections are made through screens of various sizes (mobile – 80″ multi-user touch screens) and in a variety of locations (personal devices, large format public screens and in guest rooms).
How: We first envisioned some solutions to common problems that people have while traveling on a cruise ship. My teams work on solutions for:
1. Social engagement (leaving with more friends than you came with)
2. Way finding (on shore & on ship maps/ routing)
3. AI recommendations engine
